It gives me great honor and excitement to introduce myself, Hector Hernandez, as your new Principal of Faulk Middle School. It is a pleasure to join an outstanding group of educators.
I am a long time administrator with 36 years of experience as a school principal. My principalship experience encompasses elementary, middle, comprehensive high school as well as alternative high schools. My entire educational experience has been with BISD.
During the course of my career I have learned so much working with students, staff, and parents which has brought forth specific beliefs in teaching and learning.
At this year’s staff development days, I will present several frameworks that I hope will enhance your “thought” process in addressing what’s in the best interest of our students as well as our school.
Help me continue to “grow” along with you as we undertake this wonderful journey. Your high level of commitment and dedication is critical to help us succeed. For now I leave you with this message: “In order to be successful, we must inconvenience ourselves.”
